The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, continuously endeavours to minimise the gap for access to right guides or tourist facilitators for the tourist, with the objective that each interaction results in a superior experience for the tourist. An outstanding initiative by the Ministry of Tourism in this regard is setting up the digital platform, the DESH, that aims at the creation of a DESH where the tourist can search and access all the details about the facilitators based on its interest in the tourist destination, services offered, prices etc. The tourist can make the booking and payment for the services of the tourist facilitators.
